DITH PRAN, 1942-2008
Survivor, messenger, and activist Dith Pran died today. He gave a face and a voice to the atrocities committed against the Cambodian people by the Khmer Rouge regime. He also gave them a name, “The Killing Fields.”
As we in the United States evaluate our role in global affairs, perhaps we should listen to a reasoned voice of experience -
"All tragedies have universal implications."

BLAST FROM THE PAST
It was many odd years ago in a dusty one-horse town called Fools Gulch, AZ. The Rifleman and the infamous Blevins had to take out ol' Ramblin' Rutherford.

THE RIFLEMAN RECOMMENDS:
BUSH'S WAR
There aren't a lot of television sets in my parts. Thank God the fine folks from Frontline have the good sense to post their episodes online.
BUSH'S WAR examines the wind up and the follow-through on America's slack-jawed "War in Terror" and further investigates the cold war between factions within the Bush White House, the State Department, and the Central Intelligence Agency.
Michael Kirk and his team consistently deliver the goods. They are, without a doubt, the best documentary/journalism team working in America.
